The beginning (though Teagan does much of the work) is very hard for us humans too. Some dogs after birthing become SO choosy on what they will eat so if you don’t have a wide variety of tasty morsels for her to (hopefully) eat she will quickly decline and puppies won’t get fed.
Right now, Teagan has been ONLY wanting duck bone broth, soured raw milk, eggs, some organ meat and ground beef! She finally chewed on some chicken today so here’s to hoping for more variety and an easier time for the human caretakers. Puppies are doing well and Teagan is proving to be a good mama and keeping her babies fed and very clean.
